UIAGM Certified Mountain Guides

UIAGM certified Mountain Guides are the only mountaineering professionals. The demanding training course we have followed meets very strict criteria. Mountain guides are qualified to accompany those who wish to take on sports disciplines related to the mountains and verticality. The role of the mountain guide is to minimize, and therefore make acceptable, the risks associated with the outdoor activities within their competence. Since the UIAGM guide qualification is recognized worldwide, we can be by your side during trips that may include vertical experiences.

Why rely on a Mountain Guide? The Mountain Guide is above all a passionate and expert mountaineer. And so they will pass on this incurable passion to you. Then, they have trained through a long five-year journey covering all terrains: from ski mountaineering to high mountains, from icefalls to sport climbing ... always with the imperative to assess and manage risk and to train students and those they accompany to do the same.

The UIAGM Mountain Guide shares a training and ethical platform with colleagues from as many as 25 nations around the world. The profession of Guide is a certified profession and is therefore subject to State control, through the Regional Colleges and the National Council, regarding technical requirements, professional development, and professional ethics.

Who is the Mid-Mountain Guide (AMM)?

This is a professional figure established by National Law 6/89.
Their activity is subject to the possession of a specific qualification and registration in a special list of the Regional College of Mountain Guides.The qualification to practice the profession is obtained by attending a training cycle, passing the related exams

and a positive evaluation regarding the methods of practicing the profession, carried out according to a rigorous training plan.

Why choose to go to the mountains with a Mid-Mountain Guide and not alone? Of course, no one can ever require the presence of a guide to visit the mountains, but why deprive yourself of someone you can rely on in total safety and who can tell you something more?
A mid-mountain guide has many things to tell you, explain, and show you, making your excursion a unique and engaging experience, as well as a pleasant opportunity for cultural enrichment.

Even a simple walk in the mountains can be very demanding, especially when you are not very fit and have the whole family with you. With an AMM, the tension eases, knowing you have a competent person by your side whom you can trust, who knows the potential risks and how to deal with them, taking care of you.
