Icefalls & Modern Mixed

The most athletic side of climbing in a winter environment. Climbing on flows of water crystallized by frost into ever-changing shapes opens up a challenging and fascinating world. The technical evolution of mountaineers and equipment now allows for a great variety of situations and movements. But beware: this is not the winter variant of sport climbing; you must refine all your knowledge of the winter mountains to manage risks and grow technically. It is often a testing ground for technical progress on large glacial walls.
