Are you a true hiker and thinking about a multi-day trip made up of stops and overnight stays in refuges, bivouacs, or tents along trails, mountain passes, and gullies? Then what you are looking for is a spectacular trekking adventure!
From the English “to trek,” meaning to make a long journey. This term refers to routes that take place over several days and represent the ideal option for reclaiming the slow pace that only walking can provide. Interestingly, English speakers prefer to use the term “backpacking” to refer to this type of activity, precisely to emphasize the slowness that characterizes the journey made with a backpack on your shoulders.
Gran Paradiso Tour
Valsavarenche and Val di Rhemes
Spectacular loop on the Aosta Valley side of Gran Paradiso that partly follows some sections of the Alta Via No. 2 of the Aosta Valley. Four stages to fully experience the many wonders of this corner of the Gran Paradiso National Park, immersed in a fairytale setting among breathtaking views and picturesque villages.
The trek includes overnight stays with half-board service at three comfortable alpine refuges.
Dates to be determined for summer 2022
- First day: Pont Valsavarenche – Rifugio Savoia
- Second day: Rifugio Savoia - Rifugio Benevolo
- Third day: Rifugio Benevolo - Rifugio delle Marmotte
- Fourth day: Rifugio delle Marmotte - Pont Valsavarenche
- Total distance: 46 km
- Total elevation gain +: about 3200 m

Tour of the Ligurian Alps
The Ligurian Alps are ideal for beautiful trekking. The absence of snowfields, the moderate altitudes, and the proximity to the sea create atmosphere and guarantee pleasant temperatures. This “Mega Tour” proposed by HIke&Climb aims to reach the three highest and most significant peaks of the Ligurian Alps, namely Marguareis (2651 m), Cima delle Saline (2612 m), and Mongioie (2630 m), all in four days of walking with overnight stays in comfortable mountain huts along the route.
First day: departure from Pian delle Gorre, Baban Pass, Don Barbera hut and overnight stay.
Second day: ascent to Marguareis, descent towards the Piaggia Bella basin, Carnino Superiore and overnight stay at the Foresteria.
Third day: ascent to Cima delle Saline, descent towards Pian Comune, Gola delle Scaglie and Mongioie hut.
Fourth day: ascent to Mongioie, descent towards Mondovì hut, Porta Sestrera, Garelli hut and Pian delle Gorre.
A fair level of fitness is required as well as a good spirit of adaptation to the group and to life in the huts. The stages are long but, starting already from a decent altitude and having the whole day available, the effort becomes manageable.
